Although this blog started out as a daily update on Chris Johnson's heart surgery, I am using it now to post about the happenings in my life since Chris died. You can email me at mjmj57@bellsouth.net.

Well it took some time but Chris is out of the hospital. He was finally discharged around 1pm. We had to wait on prescriptions to be filled at the pharmacy before we left the hospital. Because out hotel is just across the street, I wheeled Chris from the hospital to the hotel. It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon-about 50 degrees. He was thrilled to be in the fresh air. We are settled in the room, and talking about what to get for dinner (no more hospital food-yea!!!) The next few days will be quiet, restful days for us with no set times for anything-it will be wonderful. Have a good weekend-we plan on it! Mary Jo

Praise the LORD!!! I have checked off and on all day to get this news!! Enjoy your time together, as when you get home it will be different! Anne
Finally posted, waited as everyone else did and as you did for such wonderful news. Nothing better than knowing Chris has been discharged and the 2 of you are resting away from the hospital. Tonight you 2 will probably rest better than you have since you left for Rochester. Hopefully, no more surprises until after you get back to KY, and then only good and HAPPY ONES!!!!!
Take care, rest and as always, you all are in our thoughts and prayers.
How wonderful. We're so thrilled for you and know you feel the best
ever. What a nice surprise for you. Take care and our love to you. Mary Lou and JD
Welcome back to the land of the healthful! A new beginning for both of you for a healthy, happy life together. Chris - you are a very lucky man to have found someone as caring and compassionate as Mary Jo. Thoughts and prayers as you progress through the process that leads to home.

Dear Chris and Mary Jo,
Greetings from the Bluegrass! The sun is shining brightly as we look forward to your return to greener pastures. Thanksgivng wasn't the same without you guys...however we do have a multitude of things to be thankful for. Due to technical difficulties (i.e. Carolyn) I have missed a few updates. I am thrilled to hear that Chris has been sprung. We are looking forward to celebrating the holidays with you upon your return. Enjoy your weekend!
Love,
Carolyn and Reid
