Although this blog started out as a daily update on Chris Johnson's heart surgery, I am using it now to post about the happenings in my life since Chris died. You can email me at mjmj57@bellsouth.net.

Things are looking good here in Minnesota. Dr. Wan removed the atrial balloon pump this morning because Chris had such a stable weekend. Next they will start to turn down some of the medications in order to take him off of the vent in a few days. Chris was awake and aware that I was with him earlier. With the balloon pump gone, he should not have to be so heavily sedated. I spent the morning on the phone calling our insurance company, bank and what not, trying to get things rolling from my backpack being stolen. I talked to Lost and Found here at the hospital-they are just sick about something like this happening-it has not happened much here at all. They said everyone is on the look out for it here at the hospital and would love to be able to bring it to me-I am not holding my breath. It is so nice to have Lyland and Bill here. although we talked with them on the phone before, them physically being here is really a treat. Again, thank you for the thoughts and prayers, please keep them heading our way. Take Care. Mary Jo

Hopefully today is the start of a great week for everyone! Chris we are thinking of you often, keep getting strong!
Love,
Jane, Katie & Beth
Healing takes so much time, doesn't it? My wish for you is patience as Chris goes through his ups & downs. Your stolen items just increased your anxiety. Was anything found? Mary Jo, do you need me to send up an old kit of mine to keep you busy in the waiting room? Give Chris our best wishes & tell him our prayers are working!

Hi Chris & Mary Jo
I am glad to hear Chris is doing better. Is there anything we back here can do to help relieve the pressure of losing the Backpack?
Sorry I haven't blogged you in a few days. I hadn't forgotten you'all, just a good friend was getting married in Georgetown and I needed to be there. Tell Chris we are all praying for our beloved brother and I will tell you that you are in all of our prayers 'cause you need the strength that can only come from above.
Peace and Love
George Brooks
We love you all and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I'm glad that Lyland & Bill are there with you all. Good luck Mary Jo with all of the extra work concerning the stolen items. That is such a shame! We'll let you all know how Bill's surgery turns out tomorrow.
Love Dot aa& Annette
All good things take time to happen and lets hope it continues!! A very small improvement can make a difference. Baby steps as I told the KY Colony tonight is what it takes and it sounds that Chris is making those steps all in his good time. I hope he continues to make those baby steps and keeps his improvement going. I also hope that things improve for you and your lost backpack. May it be returned with all items accounted for and contained. As always, in our thoughts and prayers.
