Although this blog started out as a daily update on Chris Johnson's heart surgery, I am using it now to post about the happenings in my life since Chris died. You can email me at mjmj57@bellsouth.net.

We are busy getting ready to head north. We fly out very early on Sunday, and should be in Rochester by early afternoon. Monday, Chris starts his appointments at 6:30 a.m and ends around 5pm. Tuesday he is supposed to be at the hospital by 5:45 a.m Luckily our hotel is just across the street from the hospital. It is mind boggling trying to pack for a two week stay-I know the weather will be colder than here-do we need our parkas or not? How cool will it be in the hospital? What "entertainment" do I need to pack? Fortunately we will have laundry facilities and a car so if I forget to pack something I can go buy it somewhere!

Chris, MaryJo and Mrs. Johnson,
I hope the plane ride to the Mayo was comfortable and less eventful than the last Comair trip. Just know that Mom, Dad and Family are all keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.
Mary Jo & Chris,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you begin this journey. We know that you have a long road ahead of you but we are confident the end result will be great. Take care of yourselves.

Chris,MJ,Carolyn, I wrote this morning, but it seems I did something wrong, as mine isn't here, just wanted to say, I got up this morning and the first thing I did was say a prayer for all of you including the girls. That will continue to be the way I start each day for these many days to come. Carolyn thought you would enjoy knowing that the Call to Worship today, thechoir sang Wayne's arrangement of We That Love the Lord. I also sent you an e-mail to your home e-mail, about how I feel about our friendship. Love to all of you Anne
Dear Chris, Mary Jo, and Carolyn,
May the Lord grant Chris healing, and all of you wisdom and encouragement as you go through this challenging time. Our prayers will follow you.

Chris, Mary Jo and family, Mom just sent this blog to me and I am so glad she did. This is such a wonderful tool to keep in touch with loved ones who can't be with you in person because of distance. We are all with you in thought and prayer and know that Chris is a fighter and will pull through this. Keep the faith and know we all lift your family up in prayer. God bless you all.
Susan, Tom, Taryn and Tommy
Chris ,Jo, and Carolyn,
Please know that we are praying for you. God is with you and you will be better than ever after surgery.
