Although this blog started out as a daily update on Chris Johnson's heart surgery, I am using it now to post about the happenings in my life since Chris died. You can email me at mjmj57@bellsouth.net.

I just realized that some of you may not know why Chris is having surgery. The pulmonary valve on Chris's heart needs to be replaced. The Doctors at Mayo Clinic have also decided that they will close the shunt Chris has and they will repair the original heart defect during surgery as well. This should help him feel better, but it will not cure the pulmonary hypertension he has. Chris will still need the 24 hr infusion pump for the Flolan medication and will continue to use oxygen 24/7.
