It is hard to believe that we are in the middle of May. Time just seems to fly by! All is well here in Georgetown. Emilly has completed her 2nd semester of college with very good grades. Allison will be done with her sememster soon-not sure how many hours she has now. Both of the girls will be moving to new apartments sometime during the summer-Emily to one in Bowling Green, Ky because she will be returning to Western Kentucky University. Allison to a different one inthe Boston area which I think is closer to work-or may it is her school. . . it is closer to something! I will be done with school on June 5th (the students are done the 4th) and am looking forward to sitting out at Spindletop, swimming, reading and relaxing. My summer will be short-school starts again on August 6th! emily and I will probably travel to see my family in the Chicago area around July 4th-I think my older brother Patrick is having a big (anything with my family is big) family party. I am still staying busy with the crafts I do. I am diligently working on my first sweater-it is not difficult, just a whole lot of knitting! I may have to put it up until the fall-I get pretty warm working on it and having it sit in my lap. I am working on several different needlepoint ornaments as well as continuing to crochet-so far I have only made washcloths, scarves and small stuff. I was just elected as treasurer for the local chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild of whichi I am a member-I was assured that I would have no problem with this position! I am looking forward to the end of school, but I am still not sure hat position I will have. Because of budget cuts, my position Curriculum Resource Teacher, will not be funded anymore, so i will return to the classroom. the question is-what grade and subject. all of our schools have had to make cuts so people are being shifted around. I'll be at my middle school, but not sure what grade or subject. Hopefully that will be decided in the next week or so. Many of you know that I am a big techie geek-if there is a new gadget, i just have to have it. For my birthday I treated myself to the Amazon Kindle ebook reader. I just love it. I have always liked reading books on my Palm computer, but this is much better because it is larger and I'll be able to use it in sunlight. I love to read, but hate how books stack up in the house-we have more than our share. Take Care. MJ
